My Foxmarks

Between a dual boot and a MacBook, I have started to have bookmark synchronization issues.

I came across Foxmarks, a neat bookmark synchronizer for Firefox. Essentially, your bookmarks are placed on a central server so you can fetch them from wherever. The only change that I made was removing some internal / sensitive bookmarks which I wouldn’t necessarily want to be “out there”, so I stored those locally.

Pretty easy!

    Hi Tom,

Maybe you won’t find useful social bookmarking but del.icio.us with its Firefox extension is a great way to have synchronized bookmarks across any computer you can use and you have also a lot of funny ways to exchange links with your friends.

At geomaticblog.net (an Spanish geoblog I manage) we have set a del.icio.us tag that several people (not only bloggers, but also readers) use to exchange interesting links of any kind through RSS feeds.

    Cheers.
